15 October 2010, 8.30-ish pm.
I was waiting at Villa bus stop with 4 Chinese students; 2 girls and 2 boys. They were having fun, singing and dancing. Then came a local guy, skinny with a sling bag, sat at the bus stop as well.
I don’t know what they were doing but if I have to guess, they were staring at the local guy. The guy was all frustrated and he suddenly yelled at them:
“Kamu apa pandang2?! Jangan main2 sama saya. Kamu orang Cina, saya dari Sarawak! Kalau berani sini laa.”
He continued ranting and rambling. There was silence and one of them apologized for staring. He looked calm and came at them and offered a handshake. And off he went! They were relieved and continue talking.
Now the best part!
Then suddenly, he came back and from other side of the road he yelled to the Chinese guys and girls. His friend who was with him now kept tugging and pulling him and begged him not to go to the bus stop and create a scene.
But he managed to resist the pulling and arrived at the bus stop anyway. Upon arrival, he yelled to one of the Chinese dude while throwing his fist:
“Hoi! Kamu ingat saya takut ka?! Kalau kamu mau gaduh, sini la kita book dewan!!”
Haha. Why do we have to book a hall to fight is beyond me. But what funny was all the Chinese jumped from their seat and ran back to Villa gate. Luckily the dudes from the 1989 Burger (promote!) came and saved the day.
The friend of the local guy shoved him away and wanted to apologize to the Chinese and the burger stall dudes. He told us that he was coming from village and he’s new in Miri. He wanted to go back to his village but he came for drink with his friend instead and was drunk at that time.
I was laughing my ass off when they were jumping and running. I was there the whole time and not moving an inch from my seat. Haha! They were scared to death.
Moral of the story: Don’t stare at drunk people. They can be aggressive.
This incident really made my day. Haha!

Moral: Jangan usha2 orang mabuk.
